Sorry for the late update. I was part of a wedding all day Friday and the rest of the weekend just got away from me! It looks like the Valentine's party was a success. I was sorry to miss all the fun. Thank you to all of you that donated time or goodies. I appreciate it!
Also, a big thank you to all of you that attended today's meeting. We appreciate everyone's questions, comments, and concerns. It is good to hear the kids are happy! We must be doing something right!
Math:
This week we focused on Personal Financial Literacy vocabulary and ended the week with a review in the form of a Jeopardy game. Students need to continue to work on multi-step problems to be successful in this unit. I also created a benchmark review packet that students can use to prepare for the upcoming test. Some of it will also be completed in class. Students were encouraged to skip around to work on those objectives they felt they needed the most practice in.
This week we will review for the benchmark and take the test Thursday!
Science:
We continued working on our astronomy unit with a focus on the earth's tilt and the reason for the seasons. Students are working on various activities at different stations throughout the week.
This week we will finish up the assignments incomplete from the stations and begin our Dynamic Earth unit. The Science benchmark will be Friday.
