In math, we continued our exploration of multiplication- particularly fact families and multiples of 10s and 100s. We began to fill in blank multiplication charts to improve fluency- a strong foundation of the basic facts is so crucial! In science, we conducted investigations to learn more about energy, particularly potential and kinetic, sound, and heat energy. In social studies we began our unit on the Native American tribes that lived in the Texas area. In writing, we learned a revision technique called “show, don’t tell” that focuses on a describing a character’s actions to convey their emotions. In reading, we wrapped up our unit on biographies, autobiographies and memoirs.
