I have been off my update game and I apologize!
Week 25 (2/23-2/27)
Math: Students explored area and perimeter through games and puzzles all week.
Science: We explored the layers of the earth, plate tectonics, and read an article on earthquakes.
Week 26 (3/2-3/6)
Math: We continued with our geometry unit studying points, lines, rays and polygons this week. We played around a lot with vocabulary, exploring the foundations of geometry that serve as the foundation for more complex concepts.
Science: The 4th grade science teachers had to make an executive decision this week. We are behind the district schedule having spent some additional time studying weather. We started working on our Weathering and Erosion unit, the introduction to Dynamic Earth, but then received notice that we would be receiving live organisms soon for our Life Science unit soon. Akk! So, we will discontinue Dynamic Earth for now, and pick up again on it in May.
