Mrs. Reaves' 4th Grade Class |

Hello parents! As the semester is coming to an end, unfortunately, so is my time as your children’s student teacher. My last day will be Friday, December 6th, and then I graduate from UT on December 7th. It has been such an amazing experience for me to learn and grow in the field of education along side your children. Every single one of them is so near and dear to my heart, and I will miss them so much! But luckily I won’t disappear forever after my last day! I will go to Aquarena Springs with the kids on their field trip, and I also will be Mrs. Reaves’ first choice as a substitute when she’s not here. As for my future plans with my own classroom, I will start actively looking for a position in Austin ISD or a neighboring district in the spring, so I can begin teaching on my own in the fall of 2014. Mrs. Reaves has prepared me very well for teaching my own class; I am so grateful for her guidance and support during my student teaching semester. If you’d like to stay in touch, please email me at [email protected]. I would love to hear from you or your child about anything and everything!
Take care, Laura Smajstrla
