Take a look at what Baldwin Teachers are interested in learning and sharing this year!
Below is a list of all the programs, apps, etc that teachers are eager to share with other teachers! Look at all of this technology. We will plan an "appy hour" or "ed camp" where each of these programs will have a chance to be explored with a resident teacher there to provide support. I can't wait!
This week at our Baldwin faculty meeting we had our first "Tech Minute". Based on a survey given before school started, we collected dozens of topics our teachers wanted to explore about technology. We decided the best place to start would be Digital Safety. We discussed ways to protect student and teacher privacy on social media when posting about school news. It was a big success!
Shout Outs go to....

Bill Crowley: This 5th grade teacher is working with Ms. Ashley to teach kids coding using Dash. Check out this video of Dash in action!
Jen Beeler: This 5th grade teacher has been using reading-rewards.com with her classes. They log reading minutes, build a virtual library, post reviews, choose avatars, and earn rewards.
If that wasn't impressive enough, she has also been using edmodo this year for a quick assessments.
Both these sites have motivated the kids and they want to use them every week. She had one student create step by step directions for the group on edmodo of how to download an avatar. Super cool!
